SQL error..Please tell me my DB isn't fraggled??

Hello everyone..I had 2 WP installs on my hosting,one as an addon domain..I “sensibly” backed it all up, and took a copy of the databases too..

Now, whilst away doing field work with very limited internet last month, I got myself hacked, and didn’t have the internet access to fix it before my host suspended and then reset my hosting account. Not a problem I thought, I have lost my emails, but I have backup of both sites, I’ll just re-upload it all..

I have uploaded all the content as was, but when I try to import the database, I am getting this-

#1046 – No database selected

PLEASE someone tell me this isn’t my database completely gone? I have checked through it as best I can in text edit but I really don’t know what I am looking for.

Any help will be more than grateful
