• Regarding this Zendesk announcement (quoted below), is this plugin going to be updated in the near future to work with the new single sign-on with JWT? (As ZenDesk is going to remove the current Single Sign On).

“…Single sign-on for your users via Zendesk Remote Authentication is being deprecated and replaced with JSON Web Token (JWT), an open standard with strong backing and adoption in the tech community. If you’re on Plus or Enterprise, you still have the option of using SAML as well.

If you’re currently actively using Zendesk Remote Authentication, it will continue to work until it is disabled on October 8th, 2013. After this date, all users must log in to your Zendesk via other authentication mechanisms.

If you’ve set up Zendesk Remote Authentication and we’ve detected no login activity for the last 30 days, we have already disabled it for you. If you need it to be re-enabled for the remainder of time before deprecation, contact support@zendesk.com.

We’ve provided complete documentation and many code examples to help you make the switch to JWT. You can find that here: Setting up single sign-on with JWT (JSON Web Token).

You can set up and test your new JWT implementation before disabling your current Zendesk Remote Authentication implementation.

Warning: When you disable Zendesk Remote Authentication in your Zendesk (Settings > Security > Single Sign-on) that option will be removed from your account. In other words, you’ll then only see the JWT option and SAML (if you’re on Plus or Enterprise)…”
