First post here and I'm not a code mistress so bare with me.

Have yahoo-short cuts active as a plugin. I like it alot but...My concern is when a search is done on a blog, the response to the query actually includes the raw html which looks nasty.

Normal posts are ok, ie they show fine in the browser. It's just when a search is done that the raw html appears.

My blog is here and the last two posts contain the yahoo short cuts.

'Cambodia to host 6th Mekong Flood Forum' and '50 festive events to be held in Can Tho'

Try normal then try a search 'cambodia' or 'vietnam' to illustrate.

    I'm on a mac 10.4.9 and firefox 2.0.0.12 wp 2.3.1(?)

BTW as I'm not doing the install of wp. Is there an easy way I can check what version of wp I'm running?

Excuse me for being a knoob.

    Thanks, Paul

Ok. I've deactivated the yahoo-shortcuts plugin until this can be resolved.

    BTW - I'm running v2.3 WP

Thanks for taking a look. P

[snip] I think what is happening is the render isn't firing for the search. It effects all browsers. One thing to try might be to embed the plugin further down the post. Did you notice it happens on any of the category and archive functions... I might take it out until a fix is posted as it doesn't look good. I've tried to find some other info on it but I can't find a wordpress site using it. Just to see if it fails there. There isn't even an option to configure the rending of html tags in a post. [snip]

    Thanks Paul
