• Hello ,

I have my own web site : wwww.divinewealthcreation.in and my Web Host is http://www.000webhost.com.

This web site is created specifically for WP ” BLOG ”

As I understand , If at all WordPress Blog is to be hosted , it shall be in the directory ” BLOG ” e.g. http://www.divinewealthcreation.in / blog

However, in my members area of my Host : http://www.000webhost.com, it is stated that I shall host my web site in their “public_html” directory , ( not knowing that this is for WP Blog) … Accordingly, I hosted my two files ,1) wordpress-3.6.zip and 2) PFIsoftware.zip ( WordPress plugin ) in my host’s “public_html” directory . However, after visiting my web site, it gives message as : “Index pf ……..

Check yourself by visiting my web site http://www.divinewealthcreation.in

Considering this ERROR, how can restore it to its original position ?

How can I create “blog ” directory, in my web site by using “fantastico”, to install WordPress blog ? Do I have to skip “public_html” directory as required by my host ?

Do I have to upload “index.html” also in “public_html” directory ?

Please clarify all these issues .

    Thanks

    Shashikant

  • Just create a directory blog inside public_html and then install wordpress inside blog directory or if you want to host blog on your main site then install wordpress inside public_html also you have to extract wordpress zip archive then copy all files inside wordpress folder.

    Hello Elan,

Thanks, But , how to create BLOG in “public_html” directory in my Main web site http://www.divinewealthcreation.in .

This web site is created specifically for BLOG, and to accept other WP Plugins. “PFI Softwarte” is such other Plugin, which will be activated there in WP Blog only. This software’s support team has specifically instructed me NOT TO UNZIP this file. It should be uploaded in Original Zip Format only, which will be un-zipped after uploading .

Please help me by replying this

    Thanks,

I have WordPress installed on both my websites. I am having problems using the templates supplied with it. I want to have a website at arkybill.biz that is not in blog format. I want a separate page for each of my affiliate accounts. I am in the construction stage at the moment, but am stuck because I cannot get any of the templates to show my uploaded images from my computer, nor will the show the colors I want to use in my header and my Home page. I’ve tried ’em all and they don’t wanna work for some reason.

I am using WordPress on my Personal Page blog at arkybill.com and have no problems with it, but I want to drop the blog format on my business page, but can’t figure out how to do it. I am not a developer. Can I build the site on a WYSIWYG application and paste the code into WordPress, or what do I have to do?

The website is a mess right now. I can’t remember what I have done and undone. The link is http://www.arkybill.biz.

One of my major problems is that I am a 70 year old Navy disabled vet in the first stages of Alzheimer Syndrome and my thought and memory processes aren’t what they used to be. I appreciate any help you can give me.

    Warmest regards,
    Bill

@arkybill – Per the WordPress forum guidelines, please create a new post for your particular problem or issue. Think of a post as a “help ticket” – each problem is unique (even if superficially similar) because WordPress runs on all sorts of environments and your server environment is likely quite different then the original posters that started this particular post.

So to recap – start your own post and we’ll help you there!
