I have just started using the UPLOAD image function in WRITE > Dashboard. I was wondering, you do i protect my link from being used by others? I do not mind if they copy the image, but not the link. I do not want they used my link into their website, it will used my bandwidth. So i was wondering how to protect this link from being used?

So you dont want ppl to be able to hotlink to your images? is that what you are saying?

if thats the case, there is ample information on google regarding blocking hotlinkers. The most common method is just to use an .htaccess solution.

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=hotlinkers+htaccess&btnG=Google+Search

    that should get you started.

If you're not comfortable with working with .htaccess files there is a nifty little plugin you can use that will display an alternate image. You can use the one that comes with the plugin or create your own. (use your imagination)

Of course the hotlinker technically will still be linked to an image from your server but it won't be the image he thinks.
