Meteor Slides not resizing on smart phones

I’m using the WeaverII Pro theme. When I place the Meteor Slides slideshow in the Header Horizontal Widget Area, then view the web site using the mobile simulator for smart phones, the slideshow does not reduce in size to fit the rest of the web site, and none of the other items in the widget area display either. The slide show is extending out too far on the right side. This happens regardless of whether I use the Meteor Slides Widget or the shortcode. Is this because Weaver requires that I specify a width for each widget area in the Header Horizontal Widget Area? The slideshow displays fine in the mobile simulator when I place it in other places on the web site.
