    Hello,
since today I can’t login to dashboard of my self-hosted site http://www.musictogetherbarcelona.es because I have not enough “permission”.
I will give all suspicious details of what could have generated the problem
    1. I recently added a footer widget with jetpack which cleared the login and other stuff from the footer page
    2. I recently gave some permission to users in a new extension of jetpack, can’t remmeber which one maybe “comments”?

I’m desperate and I don’t know what to do.
    Please help me!

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    thanks esmi,
I resolved my self: it looked like it was just a matter of logging in DIRECTLY to the dashboard.
still puzzled because I tried to login from wordpress.com account link and it didn’t work properly. Maybe logging in to wordpress.com cancel your log in wordpress.org, thus the lack of permission.
In fact I didn’t remember they were 2 different things and when I tried to manualy login in wordpress.com it should have had me kicked out of wordpress.org
Weird anyway, I bet this is some jackpack unintended effect.
