This is almost certainly an issue involving the responsive theme I’m using, but hoping someone knows off the top of their head how to fix. When I’m logged into WordPress, and looking at the live page, the table sorting and search work beautifully for my table.

But most of the blog’s readers obviously won’t be logged in, so they can’t sort or search.

The idea that it works while logged in, however, gives me hope that this might be easy to fix but I’m pretty much stumped! Anyone know? I love this plugin!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Now, I just took a look at your table, and the sorting works fine for me (and I’m not logged in, obviously)… Did you already find a fix?

If not, the reason for the temporary problems might be that (most likely) your theme is loading an old version of the jQuery JavaScript library from an external source, instead of using the one that comes with WordPress.
Another possible reason might be WP-Super Cache, if that has some outdated version of the page (with some JS problem) in the cache.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Late last night a friend figured it out. This might be helpful:

The latest versions of NextGen Gallery had been giving us problems lately, so we downgraded. But apparently, we didn’t downgrade far enough, because somehow, THAT was affecting the TablePress (relates to our theme as well).

Putting NextGen Gallery Version 1.9.13 back literally solved the entire issue!

Sorry to bring this up so soon before we figured it out but hoping this will help others!

    Hi,

    thanks for the information!

Yes, I have heard that NextGen Gallery has had some problems recently, so this is most likely the reason for this issue, indeed. I assume that it broke the JS on the page, so that the advanced functions were no longer executed by the browser.
Good to hear that you were able to fix this 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
