• Hi,

I am trying to find a good solution for storing the backups of the sites of my clients.
I once planned to move the files to my Amazon S3, and I created a bucket for that. But IF one of these sites gets hacked and the hacker gets access to my S3 passwords … he can access everything. That’s bad.

So I created one subfolder per client and I tried to configure S3 to give to BackWPup the access only to this subfolder. (For that, in your Amazon account, you create a user-group and define an access policy. I gave access to the subfolder only.)

unfortunately BackWPup ceased to work (access denied) … there may be a configuration both for BackWPup and S3 that solves my problem … but I can’t find it.

This problem must be kind of ordinary for each guy building WP sites for living must wonder how to automatically backup his customer sites. So, how do you guys organize your multi-site Backups ?
Have you got a better solution ?

(- having one S3 account per customer … oh no !)

    THANKS for any advice
    Nicolas
