Posts pages not expired on scheduled publishing?

    I am testing W3 Total Cache in my staging environment using the disk enhanced caching – when I schedule a post to be published at a certain time, the category page is not being updated. Also, when I update an already published post or manually publish a new post, the cache for the category page is also not being expired.

    Is this a limitation of the plugin? of disk caching?

    We’re seeing the same thing. Hitting “empty all caches” solves it but…. I’m not getting up at 5:30am every morning to punch the button. This bug keeps our app from getting the newest feeds and serving the freshest content.

    When I manually update a post / page that page is also not expired and the stale page is served for quite some time – so this whole caching system is quite questionable. Manually blowing away the entire cache or search index when any content was updated was acceptable back in ’98. Now, its completely unacceptable. I’m wondering if anyone has had success with W3 Total Cache and any of the other cache systems (non-cache based) actually working correctly and expiring specific cached content.
