Add Tabbed Block \\[toggle]\\ wont stay open

In the Edit Post box, I can add Add Tabbed Block, but often when I click on the green plus sign in the post, the remaining text will appear as expected, but immediately retract (even tho I didn’t double-click)–so I need to click the plus sign again to get it to stay. Anyone else have this problem?

Note: I had to alter the toggle’s CSS (below) because I can’t have the toggled text embedded within in a smaller block–the remaining next needs to remain the same width as the tevt above:
