Image upload not showing up

I have a site that basically consists of two wordpress sites, one for the main site and a separate one for a blog. In the admin area for the main site the image upload section shows up when creating a post but not in the admin section for the blog site. I have actually traced the code down and found out that basically the code seems to just stop just before the line:
<?php do_action(‘edit_form_advanced’); ?> in wp_admin/edit_form_advanced.php which is just after the post text area. I can’t explain this at all. Not error message about iframe support or not able to upload or anything, the page just stops loading. Doesn’t even load a footer or anything. Any ideas??
