Undo Widget Appearance drag and drop mistake

    Is there some way to save me from accidentally dragging a configured widget from it’s side bar into open space and thus deleting it?

    It’s easy to be dragging and then slip off the mouse button and suddenly I’ve just deleted a widget along with all of it’s configured settings.

    There is no save button on the Widgets appearance screen so anything I do is instantly permanent. Is there any way around that?

    Any thoughts on this anyone? Hasn’t anyone else ever accidentally dropped a widget while dragging it in the admin interface and lost the configuration?
