Support » Plugin: WP-Members Membership Plugin » Restrict access to uploads (by default)

  • Hi,

I’ve been using the Members plugin now for about a month for a private site (i.e., everyone has to log in to see content). However, I just noticed that uploads (i.e. files in wp-content/uploads) are publicly accessible by direct URL.

Under the Edit Media page, there is a ‘Content Permissions’ box (the same as the one shown for posts). However, when I try to check a box, say, for only Subscribers and above to see, the check disappears after Updating the media.

Sorry if I missed a setting or previous support thread… but how can I make uploaded media private?

Thanks and keep up the good work!
