Migrate NextGen to WordPress Gallery

    Hi together,

    I am using NextGen intensively for my private website. I want to run it for the next 25 years or so, and pictures are one of the key ingredients of it.

    Seeing how NextGen is moving (buggy versions, Pro version etc) I do not believe it is still a good idea to rely on Photocrati for the next decades.

    Is there any “easy” option to migrate all my NextGen galleries back to WordPress galleries? Most important seems to migrate Alt & Title as well as description of the images (besides the images themselves…). I found this script, but I have multiple (sorted by years) galleries on one page. So it seems that this script does not work for my site or at least I do not want to play around with it.

    Nextcellent Gallery plugin is based on pre 2.0 NGG. But it doesn’t guarantee anything long-term if WP updates no longer work with it either.

    I am thinking this same kind of thing, perhaps it’s time to learn markdown and go php-free. Someone is always looking for profit or ego-change with open source software. Not NASA-reliable.
