The Comments Box social plugin scopes a comment to the page URL specified through the href
parameter of the social plugin or the og:url
of the page.
I have seen some missing comments caused by a bad URL passed to the Comments Box social plugin. View source on the page and search for fb-comments
to find the Facebook Comments Box social plugin and parameters passed. Is the href
attribute what you expected?
You can similarly look at the og:url
value and use the Facebook URL debugger to expose markup problems.
The Network Publisher WordPress plugin is also outputting Open Graph protocol markup on your behalf.
If you view source on the example page you will see Network Publisher plugin markup starting at line 151 and Facebook plugin markup starting on line 167.
The markup output by the Facebook plugin looks much more complete to me with the exception of not matching a Dutch locale from your WordPress locale setting.
You either have another plugin loading a Facebook Like Box as a widget or you copy-and-pasted an incorrect snippet into a text widget area. That Like Box snippet attempts to load the Facebook SDK for JavaScript using an English (United States) locale in a synchronous script call.
The Comments Box social plugin markup correctly passes the post permalink as the href
parameter.
Hi, thx for your help!
I deactivated the Network Publisher and took out the Facebook widget in the sidebar.
I ran the debugger on the url which gave me an error. I needed to specify my url on the dev app page, which I did.
All of that didn’t help.
I am breaking my head over this… I took all plugins offline and nothing is helping this issue.
This is far from “Resolved”
The sample page you previously cited is still outputting multiple blocks of Open Graph protocol markup.

Assuming you’ve disabled all plugins and still see duplicate output then your Headway theme could be causing the issue. Based on your theme CSS it looks like the Headway theme on your site is version 2.0.15; the latest announcement on Headway’s site is 3.5. If you narrowed down the problem to the theme then upgrading to the latest version could help but contacting Headway support should yield a better answer.
The double Open Graph output is caused by the social plugin Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share.
When I disable it the output is good, but the comments aren’t there. So no difference.
Sidenote: Headway 2.015 is the latest version of Headway 2. Headway 3 is a different theme. Upgrading from 2 to 3 is still in the works with Headway.
