Sorry for going right to a forum before thoroughly digging into the plugin, but I’m in a rush so here goes…

I was hoping to be able to place the events calendar or list or list on a page in a parallax WordPress theme. Specifically, I am using this SCRN theme:

My plan was to show the calendar/events list on a “page”. Is this possible using The Event Calendar? Is there shortcode to display events content on a page? Or is the intention to send people to the dedicated /events url. If so, that doesn’t quite work for me since I don’t want to send people away from the single page experience.

Any other thoughts on the best way to integrate the calendar or list of events in this context? Thanks!

  • Seriously, can someone please answer this question? I’m unsure why doing this is made so difficult? I also need the events listed on a page, so that the the structure of my site is maintained. The url slug does not allow you to specify a full path, only the page name.

I ended up abandoning The Events Calendar and used All in One Event Calendar instead. This let me just use shortcode to place the calendar inside a page.

Thanks, I’ll have to do the same.

Sorry to hear The Events Calendar didn’t work out for you. We don’t currently offer the ability to embed the calendar by means of a shortcode (which adds a number of potential complications) and if that’s an essential feature for you then regrettably, I’d have to agree another plugin may be the best bet here.

Thansk for trying The Events Calendar 🙂
