• Hi,

I’m currently adding products to our new Woocommerce site which is in development.

Our main line is TVs and satellite systems. These can obviously be bought separately or, in some cases, bundled together as a kit, in which case they will need a different price (discount for buying both together) and separate SKU for the bundle.

We currently only have one satellite kit that can be bought as a bundle with five different TVs, although this will change.

Obviously I originally thought that the “Grouped Products” option was the way to go, but now I’ve tested it I see that you can’t assign a separate SKU to the bundle or apply a different price than simply the price of the items added together.

Can someone please advise me on the best way to do this??

If I can help it I don’t really want to have to add all the bundles as “Simple Products” (with details for two products on each) because this will create a lot of extra leg-work, clutter up the product pages and it’s nice that the customers can click though and view the product specs individually and what the prices would be if bought separately…But if this the best/correct way to do it is suppose I’ll have to! It does seem rather counter-intuitive and to render the “Grouped Products” option slightly redundant to my mind.

Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated! 🙂

Anyone at all?? I’ve been playing around with “Product Variations” but again, this isn’t ideal for what I’m trying to do. I’m going to re-post this in the Woothemes.com forums and see if anyone there has any ideas…
