You are just about there. The first bit of code you link to will allow you to specify the required levels for a CPT. The problem is that most CPTs aren’t setup to do anything about that. You’ll need to update the Sensei plugin or the theme you are using to check the membership level and hide the content you want to hide. It might be possible to do that through hooks and filters the Sensei plugin has or you might need to add your own/etc.

One option is to redirect away from the page entirely. You should be able to find an example of that on our blog.
