I’ve installed the plugin and it looks great and I’d like to get it operational. However, I’ve installed the plugin in a sidebar, and the message that are rotating are: “Problem retrieving data from Twitter”

Then there’s an error code message: “Twitter error code: 68 – The Twitter REST API v1 is no longer active. Please migrate to API v1.1. https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview.”

And then: “Please check the Twitter name in the widget or shortcode, Rotating Tweets settings or the Twitter API status.”

Note: Code scares me but I’m capable of following instructions.

I hope you won’t need to touch the code. Have you put all the Twitter API settings in on the Rotating Tweets set-up page?

It’s on the Admin page under Settings -> Rotating Tweets.

And the Admin page is where…?

    Normally it’s at /wp-admin/

And the Rotating Tweets settings page is normally at /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=rotatingtweets.

It’s the page you get when you log in to add stories or plug-ins. Look to the left hand column for ‘Settings’ and then you should find ‘Rotating Tweets’ on the menu that appears.
