I’m having the same problem… I’ve tried everything…
Finally just changed my theme and it ended up working.. does that mean my custom theme (Bangkok Express) is not compatible with the new update?
Everything on my site looks fine.. but I’m just displaying the same problems as P. Chandra.
Will I have to re-design my site with a new Custom theme that is compatible? Or should I try the fresh manual install?
change the theme for now.
and then try switching back to your original theme again within an hour. should start working just fine.

@site123: I’m not sure what you are referring to here. It’s not like it takes an hour for a theme to “warm up” or something. Themes either work immediately or they don’t. Full stop.

Esmi! Thanks for reply. it worked for me. Sometimes themes are not fully functional or just show web content in plain simple text for some reason. I changed the theme and everything came back to normal.
This happens on the WP admin side at Post edit screen. Why should changing the theme make a difference?
Because themes can cause problems – changing to the default theme is standard troubleshooting to rule out theme-specific issues.
What theme are you using?
I am using a custom self edited theme. Same issue when switched to Twenty12, Twenty13.
In fact the entire text content of the post disappeared after I changed theme to default and back. I also do not see any revisions for same!
Occurs with draft as well as published posts.
@ P.Chandra. I missed if you’ve also disabled all the plugins to eliminate them as the cause?
The problem is persisting for many posts now. Plugins disabled, but persists.

This post is fully visible on the public blog.
Which basically means I cannot edit this post in any way.
Happening since last WP3.6 upgrade.
So I found out which edit post AND edit comment screens show blank fields.
Some posts have these strange characters on the public side and these posts/comments have blank edit screens. This was not a problem before WP3.6

Its a bug. Please fix as these posts and comments cannot be edited.
Any ideas. Using TwentyThirteen theme now and still all posts with special characters (possibly caused due to improper UTF import while changing hosts) show blank edit screens.
