the only way out-the-box to do that is using our #_ATT custom fields, which should appear automatically in the form:

I tried to define an event attribute #_ATT{Datenschutzerklärung gelesen und anerkannt}{Ja|Nein} in the settings, but it doesn’t appear.
Just to test something, try it without the ä character. It’s possible that non-English character is causing a problem somewhere.

Thanks, caimin_nwl, but that didn’t work either.

Ok, the attribute appears in the backend form for a new event, but not in the anonymous frontend form.
this works for me, do you have sample links for us to see?

Sure. https://www.projekt.xxx/event-einreichen/ (No, it’s not a sex site. In this case, xxx stands for encryption 😉
seems to work fine? am seeing “Datenschutz gelesen und anerkannt” with values Ja & Nein

Oh, now I see it. I thought it would appear at the end of the form which would be better. And choosing “Ja” must be mandatory for sending the form. This is a legal issue I must fulfill.

An even better alternative would be a mandatory checkbox.
if you can code you can change that to checkbox by modifying template file at events-manager/templates/forms/event/attributes-public.php
To use the template, please see this tutorial – http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/
