• I had my site open for about 2 months and today I got a mail and said I have a new registered user… I didn’t even know it was possible for people to register themselves. I checked and their status is “subscriber”, this is safe for my website right? They can not change any of my content or anything like this right?

  • Correct, a Subscriber cannot change anything, but might be able to add comments if your pages or posts are set that way. However, a Subscriber can add a brief bio and various links in his or her profile…but I know very little about the vulnerabilites of that. If you do not need or want registered users at all, have a look here:

Noz03, this is fine, but if you don’t want registered users then just change your settings on the Settings -> General page

    Membership [✓] Anyone can register

You can remove the user from the Users dialog.
