• After applying the update I lost access to the admin screen and my site. All I got displayed in my browser was;

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /homepages/44/d234378939/htdocs/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-property/core/ud_api.php on line 1381

To fix / roll-back I used my FTP client to rename the WP-Property plugin directory which got the site back and then I installed V1.37.6 and everything is fine again.

I think some more testing of the update version was needed!

  • exact thing happened to me. Where is the previous version?

Glad I’m not the only one that just had a heart attack!!

Previous versions can be downloaded as zip files here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-property/developers/

And then use plugin upload on you admin screen to upload and install from the zip file.

Everything should hopefully work fine again then.

Me too! I had to FTP into my site and deactivate all my plugins just to get into it. I will attempt to replace WP-Property with a previous version and see what happens.

Replacing WP-Property with an earlier version cost me all my settings. )0:

At least the website looks ok but it’s going to take me forever to get all my work back.

Looks like I spoke too early. After Rolling back to the previous version or WP-Property my site is back up and running, the listing pages work BUT when anyone clicks on a property it gives a 404 error!! So right now no one can view full property details on my site, not good at all !!

All the properties are still listed in the admin screen, I can go in and edit them as normal and can hit publish, but when I click view I still get a 404 page not found error.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix?

This is really bad timing as we just ran some email marketing campaigns today and now all those emails are wasted and make us look like idiots when folk can’t open the links. Not Happy!!

Ok, just managed to fix the 404 page not found error; on the help page in WP-Property admin there’s a clear WPP cache button. I clicked on this and the property details pages started displaying without error again. Phew.

Looks like Widgets will not work either.

All widgets seem to be working fine on my site.

Same thing just happened to me. This is very disappointing to see in a minor version update. I was able to FTP to my site and rename the WP-Property plug-in directory as well. For now WP-Property will be disabled until they release a new patch… hopefully ASAP.

Following the bad experience of installing version 1.38, and having to delete it and re-install the previous version, has anyone had problems with installing version 1.38.2? Reading the change log it sounds like v1.38.2 fixes a bunch of issues so I’m hoping it should install without a problem.

If you’re running WordPress 3.6.1, DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING!
