Any idea when the update will be available as I’m having to run my site without SEO settings right now which will be destroying our listings on Google.

What errors are you getting? Deprecated functions are a result of multiple things (like WordPress Core updates, etc.) But, the modules should still function, I believe Jeurgen was referring to debug mode and was just bringing this to our attention (as many of the modules were written and evolved over years).
Regarding the next update, we are in the process of overhauling certain modules but this will have to be done in SEO Ultimate Premium and support for the Free version will be limited, as we cannot allocate dev time and resources without monetization on this project.
We have couched the costs over the past 4 years, but, the community is large enough and enough need support that a premium version is pending.

for a quck fix. edit the plugin’s seo-ultimate.php file and at line 77 replace:
$seo_ultimate =& new SEO_Ultimate(__FILE__);
with
$seo_ultimate = new SEO_Ultimate(__FILE__);
