  • I would like to use this plugin in a different place on my website. Is it possible to do this without using the widget but by adding some code in one of the php files?

@annys: Yes, it’s possible to do this. You would need to copy most of the code contained in the disp_random_image() function in the random-image.php file, but instead of using the built-in $args variables ($before_widget, $after_title, etc.) you would use your own formatting as necessary.

Since this has been a popular request, I will make adding a single function that can be called within the page a wishlist item.

Thanx! It works. I don’t really understand the arguments part (yet). I did get an error, about extracting something so I deleted that line in the php file. I hope I didn’t screw up other stuff.
About the wishlist… can you make it work with highslide or lightbox? 😉
