I didn’t realize that jetpack was causing this mobile menu issue til I came accross this post. tks
also is there a way to stop email address showing in jetpack subscrition widget?? I’ve seen this question posted but haven’t found the answer.
cheers
J.
@carlos: I have come across other threads with the same issue, and I am trying to find the common link between them. Can I have your site’s URL please so I can take a look?
Julie: Do you mean, you want to remove the placeholder text in the widget? You’d have to edit this line in the plugin to remove it:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/jetpack/tags/2.3.3/modules/subscriptions.php#L589
Note that if you edit the plguin files, any changes will be overwritten the next time Jetpack is updated. If you have any further questions, I encourage you to start a new thread so that I can give full attention to your issue. Thanks!
Richard, this actually turned out to be an issue with the new version of NEXTGen Gallery, not Jetpack.
Ah, thank you. I actually posted about this here:

I saw that Nextgen was causing javascript errors, but I wasn’t certain that it was also affecting the mobile theme menus. However, in this thread:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/javascript-error-in-mobile-breaking-dropdown-menu?replies=9
The user said that even with NextGen turned off, the mobile theme menu wasn’t working, so I’m still trying to figure out the source of the problem. Does your menu work if NextGen is deactivated?
