Category Post Widget won't display chosen category

    I have a separate blog and news page on my website. I added a side bar to each with the category widget to display recent blog posts on the news page and recent news posts on the blog page.

    The blog page side bar shows the news post correctly.

    I created an independent side bar for the news page and selected the blog category in the drop down box in the widget options. This incorrectly shows me the recent news posts still?

    Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? in leymans terms please

    Hi There,

    Sorry for the delay, I’ve adopted the plugin from it’s previous author. Now the update version of this plugin works with latest WordPress versions.
