Can I use meteor slides to display slides that have both text and an image? I only have images that are 400px wide and I would like to put text next to the images, but not have to use photoshop to create new “slides.” I would like the user to be able to change the text from the dashboard. It is almost like I would want to use posts or pages (that have featured images in them) as the source for the slides.

    Thanks
    Mark

Hi Mark, you can certainly add more content to the slides. You can use a custom slideshow template to add a captions with a title. You could add slide excerpts if you need a title and description.

With some customization you could use smaller images with a larger slideshow, but the slideshow is intended to scale with the slide images, so this gets complicated. I’d recommend using slide images that fill the whole slideshow with the captions on top of the slides, even if you end up using slide images that are partially transparent or have a solid color for the caption to overlay on.
