Failing to Ban single digit IP`s

    since about 2 updates ago i cannot manually add or automatically add ip addresses with 0,1,2 or 3 as the first sub net but 4,5,6,7,8,9 work ie
    1.123.123.123 will not stay in the ban list but
    4.123.123.123 does

    any ideas would be great because i have some Muppet trying to brute force my site.

    PS Thanks for a great piece of scripting it has fended of many attacks which could have been trouble but now are just minor inconveniences.

    try adding it as 001.123.123.123 ?? Just a suggestion cuz 001. and 1. are the same in an ip address.

    i forgot to mention adding preceding 0`s to the ip worked to get it to stay in the ban list but i was not sure if they would still work the same in the ban script (everydays a school day Thanks SeriousThings). Although it still means that auto ban would not work on them ip ranges.
