    Hello everyone,
I have been setting up Paid Memberships Pro. It all looks good but I want to customize the Paypal Link. The existing PayPal Express links to the standard button but I’ve upgraded and would like to use the new button supplied by PayPal.
Can anyone please help me: How do I access the [pmpro_checkout] code to modify it so that I can paste in the new button, as supplied by PayPal?\
Thanks so much for any thoughts!!!

Borelanding, can you post a link to the new button you are referring to? I’ll either update the plugin to use it or let you know how to override the button we use now.

    Hello,
Thanks for responding. I’d prefer not to disclose the button because I’d like to learn how to do this in a generic way. My thought is that I may want to change the specifics of the subscription and if I do I’d like to be able to update them on my own. So, given my intent, could you please advise me as to how I can override the button code?

As an aside, is there a way to use a different payment site? The ones listed are great but there are another two which have fantastic terms and it’d be good to have the option of using them also.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi borelanding,

    We support these gateways –

    Stripe
    Braintree Payments
Authorize.net Advanced Integration Method (AIM) with Automated Recurring Billing (ARB)
    PayPal Standard
    PayPal Express
    PayPal Website Payments Pro
    PayPal Paflow
PayPal Advanced (Choose Payflow in the Payment Settings)
    Pay by Check

And you can also add a new gateway with these instructions:

Thank you for the , Lisa. At the moment I’m happy with PayPal but this was a suggestion.

Back to the original question; your colleague had mentioned that he’d explain how to override the button to the new PayPal button. Could you please help me with that?

Rancake, make a template for your checkout page and change the submit buttons to use your custom image:

Strangerstudios – are you able to tell us how to do this without purchasing the subscription package?
I’m not sure what the link will buy or if it’ll even explain what I need.
    Thank you strangerstudios

    Hi there,
Over the course of several days I’ve logged in and tried to look at the page you suggested. The response is always the same (as below) and it asks that you pay to use there service. Could you please confirm that you can get access without paying?
    Thanks strangerstudios.

you WILL want to update PMPro as new versions are released. And we will not support older versions of the plugin.

Read on for how to control the full layout through a PHP template or override the default CSS through a custom CSS file uploaded to your theme directory.

This page is restricted to PMPro, Free, PMPro (Do it for Me) and PMPro VIP members.

That content is definitely available for free members of our site. I just double/triple tested and it worked for me. If you did sign up and don’t have access, please email from the same email address you signed up with and I’ll look into your account.
