• I am interested in allowing my journal’s readers to suggest tags for various entries. i.e., After I initially (upon creation) specify a few tags characterising recent posts, I would like to allow my readers to continue labelling things as they see fit.

I was wondering if anyone knows of an AJAX library that provides a simple form like that used by Google Reader. I hope to extract the strings from this form, and incorporate it into my post’s tags.

I believe that once user-tagged, it will help in their finding the corresponding entries in the future.

  • There is already a plugin for adding Folksonomy functionality to WordPress, called WP_Folksonomy. You can see the plugin working at my blog, Haibane.info. You are welcome to test the plugin at my blog by clicking a given post, scrolling down, and you will see the tagging form. You do not need to be a registered user, but the blog admin can set the permissions as they like.
