update: just downgraded to the old version and is working fine again. something must be wrong with new version. update me when you can so i can upgrade again
Hi, nobody else have reported that kind of problem, so it’s pretty difficult to figure out what might have gone wrong (especially because I haven’t changed anything related to Pinterest link creation in the new version).
If you could update the plugin to the new version for a day or two, chances are I will be able to figure out what might be wrong and fix it in the next version.
btw. great photos
Hi thank you for the super fast response and the wonderful compliment on my images!! π
I have updated to the newer version so feel free to visit the site and check it out π Let me know if you figure it out! Great plug in by the way!!!
Thanks,
Jen
Hi again, seems like you’re using some sort of image protection on your blog and that’s probably the reason of the problem.
Could you please add class pp-overlay to disabled classes in the settings of the plugin and let me know if it fixed the problem?
If you’re using default settings, you should change this setting from
nopin;wp-smiley
to
nopin;wp-smiley;pp-overlay
Thanks for the compliment π
hey there. so i changed it. i do have image protection on them so prevent image theft. i changed the class and now none of the images have the pin it button i think because all of them are protected.
with the older version though i dont have that problem.
any thoughts?
thanks
jen
Ok, for now, please downgrade to the working version.
There’s one more thing I plan to change in the html code the plugin generates in a couple of days, so when the new version will be available, we’ll give it another try. Unfortunately, I can’t promise you that the new version will fix the issue, we’ll see. Until then, I suggest using the version that works fine.
I will let you know in this topic when the new version will be available and ask you for feedback.
ok will do. thanks so much for the super fast response! π
I am having the same problem. I just installed the plug-in yesterday. Is there a way I can downgrade to get it to work?
Thanks!
@erimiphoto If the previous version of the plugin worked on your site, here’s the url: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jquery-pin-it-button-for-images.0.9.95.zip. If not, please start a new topic na describe your problem.
@jenkoochofphotos:
Hi again, could you please delete the current version of the plugin, install the new one (not yet released, I’m still testing it) and let me know if it helped? New one can be found here: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jquery-pin-it-button-for-images.1.00.zip
When testing, please add pp-overlay as a disabled class. If it’s not working properly, please leave the plugin active and let me know, I’ll take a look.
hi just updated…. appears to be working fine now with the new version.
take a look and let me know.
thanks
jen
actually i lied its not working…..
omg im so sorry it is working now
ok so its on and off… i get an error…… but now when i click pin it nothing happens
@jenkoochofphotos: what browser are you using? I’ve checked out your site on Chrome and Firefox and on both everything seems to work just fine. I pinned the first image without any issues too.
