links not FINDable in Bartelme’s WP-Dark theme

I try finding (control+F) the word “news” in the page, where there are about six or so links containing that word. Since changing theme to Bartelme’s WP-Dark I cannot find words which are links in a page, but apparently only in Firefox, IE7 appears to do this fine. I’ve analyzed the source code (View > Source) and do not see anything funky that would cause this to happen. Anyone know why? My users used this function to find old articles and now it is not working.
