    1. I put code into my header.php file for my theme for a facebook like button.. sometimes it loads sometimes it doesnt. Any idea why?

    2. I downloaded the “Social share-Facebook Like and Share , Twitter , Google buttons” plugin, and sometimes the “share” button will only be a link, like this http://imgur.com/7cOpfnR, but sometimes it works. Is this just a faulty plugin probably?

    3. I have the plugin “Facebook Comments Notifier” and chrome stopped responding so I had to kill the pages.. since then my facebook comment area at the bottom of each post/page has disappeared. I tried deactivating and reactivating. Am I just picking crappy plug-ins or what else could be the problem?

I see a lot of social media plugins on here, and it’s quite likely that they’re all conflicting.

The header issue – that facebook API can be kind of iffy. I would remove the custom code and leave that functionality to a plugin (such as the one floating at the right of the homepage). It’s better to only have that in one place instead of many, to help reduce visual clutter. The custom code you added could easily conflict with any of the plugins running.

For post-sharing, it looks like there are two different plugins running at the moment; pick one. I would recommend installing QuickShare to replace both of them; it doesn’t use any javascript, which means that your site will load faster and it’s virtually impossible for it to conflict with another plugin. Plus, QuickShare has a more flexible design that will probably fit the look of your site better.

The facebook comments seem to be there again now; it is likely that this is also conflicting with the facebook like button’s code (especially the one you added in the header).

By the way, you should avoid adding code to your theme directly unless you know it won’t be getting any updates.
