Not saving provided emails when profile completeness is enforced

I’ve set profile completeness setting to ask for an email. I’ve tried registering with VK.com (Vkontakte does not give email adresses away), and provided an email when I was asked to. However, it was not saved. Instead, the email was to a standard placeholder.
