I have just finished moving my blog: http://www.monniblog.com and now my sidebar takes forever to load. It has a number of small images but they are hosted on Photobucket and have never caused a problem before. While the site is loading it says "Contacting http://www.monniblog.com" on the bottom.
I disabled all plugins I'm not using, and I never had this problem when I was on wordpress.com: http://monnibo.wordpress.com

I put the following code in my footer.php.

your site loads just fine for me. theres nothing wrong, its your connection, or a connection between you and where you are hosted. Maybe you need a better Internet connection.

Alright thanks for checking for me. Hopefully just my internet connection. I'm on a wireless modem which is dial-up (all three bad words eh?) and a little bit hit-and-miss, but it's better than nothing!
