    Hi
    In settings i got this strange massage “You appear to be sending notifications from an email address from a different domain name to your blog, this may result in failed emails”
    I think because of this thing, plugin doesnt work, but i dont understand what this means and where i must fix it. Before plugin worked but i cant understand what happened and what i did wrong. I will be extra thankful for your help!

  • @yakolibri,

    This is because the ‘sender’ you have selected in the Subscribe2->Settings page under the Email Settings tab is using an off-domain email address.

    Off-domain means that the emails address part after the ‘@’ does not match your blog web address. You need to choose or create a new user with an on-domain email address and select that account as the sender.

    thanx for answer! i have done it and this massage dissapeared but plugin doesnt work still. i think the best way is to delete plagin and install it again but what to do with subscribers (i have 4000 already)? i saved it in SCV file but what to do with this?

    @yakolibri,

    Uninstalling probably won’t help. Install an email logger like the one linked below. This will help you find out if Subscribe2 and WordPress is generating emails. Bear in mind that your host may be blocking your emails if your site is generating 4,000 when each new post is made.

    made everything through gmail host with SMTP plagin, but still it doesnt work how it must be. it send registering mails when someone subscribe, but doesnt send mail for new posts. is it still because of host, then what possible to do? are there some variants to make it working for 4 000 and more subscribers?

    @yakolibri,

    Did you install the WordPress email logging plugin?

    yes i installed, but honestly cant understand what to do with this (yes shame on me :))

    @yakolibri,

    Next time you make a post go to the Tools->Email Log page in the WordPress admin area and see if there are some recent emails logged in there.

    If there are then Subscribe2 is working fine and the emails are being blocked on the server. If there are not then we’ll need to look at your Subscribe2 settings.

    There are only logs for subscribing mails but not for new post mails. So I made print screens for my Subscribe2 settings. And one more moment, when i try to send mail to all subscribers from admin panel for Subscribe2, it also doesnt work, i get empty screen; but when i try to send mail to only one subscriber, it send this normally.

    @yakolibri,

    In Subscribe2->Settings under the Email Settings tab, set the number of recipients per email set to 1. That will send emails individually instead of 1 email to many recipients. That should help.

    Thanx but it didnt help too πŸ™ may be really reinstall this?

    @yakolibri,

    It’s worth a try as the default settings are designed to work on most setups.

    nothing again. dont know what to do with lot of my subscribers now πŸ™

    @yakolibri,

    If you re-installed all of your subscriber data from before will have been erased. Have you taken any actions to re-subscribe a long list of users? Where do you believe these subscribers are coming from?

    Have a look in Subscribe2->Subscribers and tell me how many Confirmed subscribers there are in the filter drop down selector in the Public Subscriber tab and how many Registered Subscribers there are in the Registered Subscribers tab.

    Thread Starter yakolibri

    (@yakolibri)

    no i didnt reinstall and didnt resubscribed

    I have 2267 Confirmed Subscribers, i know this is real subscribers, because on my facebook page for my website i have 11 000 likers, so 2000 subscribers is a normal quantity. I have only 3 Registered Subscribers, all of them are made by me.

    This is the big problem, i dont want to lose my sibscribers because i got them during 2 years. yes i can save their mails in file but what can i do with this then.

    @yakolibri,

    Have you spoken to your hosting provider at anytime about this? Sending over 2,000 emails at once when you make a post is not likely to work well on a shared hosting plan and it very likely to be blocked as spam. That why you need to try to learn how to use the email logging plugin.

    That will show you if the emails are generated, then you can talk to your host about why they are blocked.

    You can expert your subscribers in Subscribe2->Subscribers. There is a button at the top right of the table of email addresses that says “Export to CSV file”. You could then re-install the plugin and re-import those email addresses by pasting the emails from that file into the Subscribe box at the top of the same page.
