    With cforms installed. I activated it in plugins. cforms isn’t showing up in the dashboard. I installed it on another site, and it works fine. I tried reinstalling it in case I missed something, but still no fix. I am transferring with filezilla with Go Daddy server. Any ideas?

  • Hi!

    1. Have you enabled dashboard support on the form settings page (under ‘Core Form Admin / Email Options’)
    2. Have you turned on DB tracking (‘Global Settings’)

    PS: Here is how you can enhance the layout of your sidebar form:

    adding this:

    ol.cf-ol li {
    display:block !important;
    }

    will help you to overrule your WP theme’s settings and fix the message field.

    Further, since you sidebar is slimmer than the default cforms.css layout, perhaps switch to the sidebar-layout.css theme, just a thought.

    Thanks for the reply. I am a bit of a newbie, and always trey to find the fixes before I ask for help. I am helping my dad on this one. Here is his site he is trying toget going http://claytonok.com
    “# Have you enabled dashboard support on the form settings page (under ‘Core Form Admin / Email Options’)”
    I am not sure where this is. Is it under one of the cforms tabs, because I cant find any cform in my dashboard.
    “Have you turned on DB tracking (‘Global Settings’)”
    I am sorry, but not sure what you are referring to here.
    Sorry for the lack of knowledge here, but I am at a loss.

    Since you didn’t mention the site, I assumed you were talking about http://littlestreeworks.com
    My above comments/suggestions were geared towards that blog.

    yes. there should be a cformsII main menu item (after plugin activation)

    DB tracking you’ll find under cformsII -> Global Settings

    EDIT:
    when you said ‘on the dashboard’ did you mean the dashboard per se or the general “admin area/menu”

    EDIT2:
    just noticed that you must activated it properly, because it is writing proper headers (in your HTML).

    Thanks, yes the plugin is activated, but there are no controls in my dashboard to change any of the settings for cforms. On my other site, everything worked fine after install and activation. I visited the cforms forum, but cant find any similar problems or answers. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

    brandon, can you send me an email (it’s in the plugin header)?

    I’m also having the same problem.

    1. Installed the plugin via subversion to ../plugins/contactforms/
    2. Activated plugin in the <i>Plugin Management</i> screen

    But then the <b>cforms II</b> link on the dashboard, ie, at the same level as Dashboard, Write, Manage, Comments, etc., does not appear so cforms II settings are unavailable.

    Scott, I noticed that you have also posted in the cforms forum. Let’s continue the thread there and post the results here if you don’t mind.

    I have also send you an email.
    Oliver

    Not a problem. Thanks for your quick response.

    First I’d like to thank olivers for a great plugin. It’s worked great for me and he’s always developing.

    I just upgraded from cforms v 4.5 to cforms II v 7.5. Everything went fine, cforms II shows up in my plugins list to be activated. I can activate it fine, but no cforms II shows up on the dashboard to be able to change settings etc etc. It sounds like it’s the same thing the other users are talking about.

    Did anyone else find a fix for this?

    Thanks!

    Hi yoink21!

    The fix I posted in the cforms forum. WordPress sometimes does funny things…
