Subcategories 404 After Permalink Change

Hey everyone,

I am trying to remove “category” from the permalink structure. I’ve tried using wordpress no category base (plugin) and it works great by removing the root category, but 404’s subcategory pages.

I’ve also changed wordpress’s default permalink category structure with no success.

I’ve read well over 15 posts on this topic, ending with no successful answer.

Any help would be appreciate? Like an .htaccess rewrite or something around this that produces the same results?
