    Client wants this use case–

    user purchases the membership – they get put in group A

    membership has a 30 day trial period – at the end of which they are charged their first month membership.

    On day 31(when the charge has gone through) – I want to be able to automatically move the member to Group B.

    I’m using Groups for WooCommerce — It occurred to me I could just basically create a “free” group tied to a “free” product that puts people into Group A — then after 30 days start sending email nags if they have not yet purchased Group B.

    Once they purchase Group B – I can use the “remove from group” feature to remove them from Group A (or just leave them in both groups.)

    The concern is I want to remove them from Group A at the end of the first 30days.

    It would be a more elegant flow to just take their payment upfront (but not charge it) – put them into group A – then automatically move them to group B once the charge is done.

    Thoughts? Anyone else out there doing a trial membership that only gives trial members a portion of the goods, then gives them everything once the payment has gone through?

    For sure the Subscriptions will enable the 30 day trial, and then bill after that 30days.

    The question is – is it possible (and if it is then how to) get WooCommerce Subscriptions to remove a person from Group A and add them to Group B after their trial period expires (and their money is collected).

    After the trial period? No. But it’s possible to have it removed after the subscription ends though. Please post questions on that directly on the plugin page mentioned by @eggemplo, it’s where support is handled for the extension (and response is quicker).
