Twenty Twelve – Added Widget in Main Content Appearing under Post Loop
-
I added a custom widget to the twenty twelve Main Index Template (index.php) above the posts loop, but it’s appearing under the last post. I need help to get it to appear above the first post. Here’s the link to the page: http://reponsive-fof.cloudaccess.net/news-and-reviews.

Do not edit the Twenty Twelve theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.
OK – I’ll create a child theme, but how does that help me get the widget in the position I need it to be in?
Are you using a custom page template in your child theme?
