  • I have the same problem Korros. I watched the video on the main page of this plugin and noticed that he seems to be using a different version of GA than me…For example I don’t have “visitors” in the left rail, but rather have sections like “my stuff” which he doesn’t have. same for you? I did find some data in Audience > Custom > Custom Variables

I have a same problem. And also my GA looks different than in Yoast video.

Yoast doesn’t control Google Analytics, if you want to see the data collected by the custom variables you need to create a custom report or a custom dashboard at the least.

I made a custom report that display all the custom variables on a domain/profile, just so I can see what someone is doing with their custom variables. Here.

Yoast’s app does create new areas of data in GA and we are saying his video doesn’t accurately show us where to find it since he seems to have filmed an older version of GA. It’s totally appropriate for us to ask for assistance here.

Hey folks. I’m seeing a similar issue.

I’ve installed the plugin. It is tracking visitors. I’m seeing the statistics in GA.

I went into the advanced settings for the plugin. I checked off which custom variables I wanted.

When I go into the right area of GA (Audience > Custom > Custom Variables), I see five custom variables. However, there is no data underneath them as seen in this youtube video.

Is there another step required? Please advise. It would be highly useful to track these statistics.
