Good question. It’s beyond the scope of our plugin, but l’ll do what I can.

First, is the social publisher a specific plugin you’re using?

I don’t know the exact answer to your question, but I’ll tell you where I’d start: WordPress SEO. Not sure if you’re using this plugin, but it allows you to embed the social graph links in your headers and, using the social tab in WP SEO while viewing a post or page, you can even tweak the descriptions that get sent to Facebook.

I believe that, when I share content on Facebook or LinkedIn, it finds all of the images in the article and allows me to choose which to use.
