• Try uninstalling the plugin, see if the website works the way it should and then reinstall the plugin.

Thanks @davejampole. I would be glad to uninstall it, but I don’t have a menu item for plugins (or widgets) any more. Is it possible to manually uninstall it via ssh (I have ssh access)? Or renaming the directories? I tried renaming the /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar directory, but that didn’t help.

I suspect that (part of) the problem is with the database. Another thing is I noticed that wp-admin.php (in the root directory) was modified today. I restored the file from yesterday.

    Thanks!

I have not had the need to uninstall the ai1ec (luckily), so I can’t give you the sequence, but I do know that there have been posting on this support forum on how to do that. If you cannot find any guidance here, I would suggest that you go the <http://community.time.ly/> site. Timely has created the bulletin board about a mo0nth ago and a lot of users have migrated to it. Another benefit is that the Timely people monitor it.
