Gerrit, There is not any way to add the EXIF data currently. However, we are considering the addition for a future release of the plugin based on your inquiry and it has been added to the feature requests. Thanks for the feedback and suggestion.
I have started looking at using Exifography plugin to accomplish this, I will update if/when I get that working with RPS Image Gallery. Out of the box it didn’t work but then I didn’t do any debugging yet.

Gerrit, The latest release, 1.2.22, has an option to display EXIF data in the gallery and/or slideshow view. You would form the shortcode like so:
[gallery exif_locations="gallery,slideshow"]
You can specify which EXIF fields to show as well by passing an additional argument:
[gallery exif_locations="gallery,slideshow" exif_fields="camera,focal_length"]
A complete list of the fields is available on the RPS Image Gallery Frequently Asked Questions page. You should be able to modify the display of the EXIF data using CSS. Let us know if the update addresses your needs.
