New Update, not able to upload new photos

    After the new update, my photos are acting up all the time! When I go to add a photo to one of my posts, whether it is newly uploaded or previously uploaded, the photo won’t show. Do you know of the reason for this? It is very frustrating.

    What is weird is that the photos I want to place in my posts don’t show up, but affiliate banners do, my background does, and so do my header and every other image on my blog.

    Is this from the WP update?

    Do you have caching on your site?

    Yes, but I have no idea what it is and how it helps.

    Caching may prevent changes from showing up right away – so you should clear the cache after making changes.

    If that doesn’t seem to be the problem, try deactivating ALL your plugins and switching to the twentytwelve theme to try to identify what’s causing that problem. If it’s okay that way, reverse those steps one by one.

    It is only the new posts. All my old posts still have the pictures. Is there something else it could be?

    With caching, that’s what you’d expect – you’re not changing old content, right? Did you try clearing the cache? Look at the setting for whatever plugin you are using for it.

    But do they eventually show up? It could be something else too – but in that case, the steps I mentioned above would be the way to start troubleshooting.

    Right, I’m just writing new content. I thought I cleared the cache after you told me. I even disabled that plugin. The pictures are still doing the same thing…
