I cannot comment on my own blog. Some others cannot comment and some can.

"You cannot post more than once in 15 seconds cowboy."

However its been hours since I commented. Have done a search in here and found a few clues. Clearing browser cache and cookies did not work.

There is also a post on here about a bug to fix http://wordpress.org/support/topic/20591?replies=4
however I cannot find that snippet of code in my functions-post.php

Not sure where to go next, can anyone please advise?

I have some more information that may help.
Now when I installed a theme today I noticed that it had the date at the
top. The is the first time I have seen the date posted at the top of the
theme. However the date was for tomorrow (4th). When I posted a post the
    date changed to the 3rd.
So maybe there is a problem with the time on the blog which might account
for why it thinks I just posted a comment?

Anyway I tried other themes but they all have the same problem. So maybe timestamp on my blog is wrong or soemthing?

Okay just some more information, some date stamps on comments are also wrong. I have no idea what is causing this.
I have just upgraded the wordpress to 2.0.5 in case it helped, but it has not fixed the problem.

If you visit Options -> General, you'll see a "Date and Time" section.

What time does it say the server has? And what offset value have you specified right below that?

    HI Handysolo,

the current time is set to
UTC time is: 2006-11-03 9:51:36 pm

    which is correct.
"Time should differ by" is blank as I think it has always been as UTC is the same as GMT.
I tried putting in -1 for daylight savings but it made no difference.

Try zero instead of blank. Don't think it would matter, but still...

    That has not worked :(

I was looking at that other page, the one I linked in first post about a bug in function-post.php
I don't have that code in the php file but I do have it in I think its comments-post.php however the tags are correct. So really I am back at square one. I have tried all the fixes I can find.

If you look at the comments here..
    http://www.spritesandbites.net/2006/11/02/please-welcome-corey/

They are out of synch and the last two comments are posting in the future.

    Ahhhh that is it.
For some reason, my last comment on that page (and the one previous) were in the future. I deleted the comment and now I can comment.

Okay now this is resolved, thankyou very much Handysolo. Your help did actually lead me the right way.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what could lead to comments being posted in the future?
I think possibly its to do with the theme originally displaying a day ahead and then correcting itself. Why it would do that I do not know.

Possibly a Daylight Savings related bug?

It could be seeing as the change only happened last Sunday. Although it was a over day ahead and not just one hour.
