• I’m a little stumped. I am already running 1.2 on my site but wanted to start a photoblog so I installed last night’s nightly build of 1.5. This version is wonderful and it seems as though my installation went smoothly, but for some reason any edits I make to the default template’s style sheet (such as background color) doesn’t show up once I’ve saved the changes nor does an image that I’ve posted. All that shows up of the image is its “alt” name.

    Example:

    http://www.debwire.com/photoblog/

Where you see the word “Bench” there is actually supposed to be an image appearing there. The image has been successfully uploaded, I’ve confirmed it exists in its directory, I’ve checked permissions, and nada. Images show up just find in my 1.2 installation on the same server so I doubt it’s any configuration issues relating to my hosting.

I’m confused about why none of my stylesheet edits don’t show up or my images in my posts. Any ideas?

That really should be an absolute url. Not for now maybe, but for later.

Yes I am. I just changed it to the full URL and now it works. 🙂

So I appear to have resolved the image problem.

Now the stylesheet problem. And, yes, I’m using the new default that comes with 1.5.

ASIDE (relating to my existing 1.2 installation, not this new one):

If full/absolute URLs are required in posts in 1.5, and I’ve entered most of my posts with this format:

    <img src=”/images/bench.jpg
    and
    <a href=”/blog/post

will none of my posts appear correctly once I upgrade from 1.2 to 1.5 on my original blog (not this new one)?

Never mind regarding the stylesheet in 1.5 — I just realized most of the colors are image based in the default template. My last question is still valid though, so I would appreciate knowing how migrating from 1.2 to 1.5 would affect my current posts since I don’t typically use absolute URLs when linking within posts to other posts or images on my blog.
