Ok, I just installed it and added my first theme. Although when I try to edit it in the Them Editor, it only shows the default theme. How can I add my theme directory into it, so that I can edit it?

Are you using the latest build--1.5-alpha-6 2004-12-21?
The latest build shows my theme files....though I haven't set the permissions to make them writeable.
Yeah I'm using it...I have to change the theme folder to 777?
Yes...No? What Am I suppose to do to make them appear?
I've never edited files from within WordPress. But I think you will have to change the permissions on the files you intend to edit--not the theme folder. 777 seems like the necessary setting.
Mine appear without the permissions set. They just can't be edited. Is there a drop down menu to select a theme to be edited?
Yes there is but there's not the theme I added just the default
That's strange. And you were still able to activate it?
Yes it shows it on the page ( http://www.illuminen.1800-webhosting.com/x/ )
Then we've reached a dead end with my lack of expertise. It makes me wonder if our hosts are set up differently. FYI, my host is using PHP Version 4.3.9.
We may have to chalk this up to our version still being in "alpha."
Oh heck......your theme is designed for version 1.2. It won't work for 1.3.
oh... so that's why I can't see it...damn I'm such a dummy.
The theme feature for WordPress is being introduced when 1.3 is released. Some folks have created versions of their themes for 1.3, which includes special header information inside the style.css file. But it doesn't look like your theme was actually modified for 1.3. I should have asked about that first. :-)
It's ok. Thanks for your help :D
